PostHeaderIcon Mullion Cove Top 5

Here’s our top 5 things to do at Mullion Cove:

Mullion Cove

 1.   Take the coastal walk from Mullion Cove towards Lizard Point. A stunning walk overlooking Mullion island and sandy beaches only accessible by boats.

Mullion Cove Hotel

2.   A cream tea enjoyed in the splendid Mullion Cove hotel. Situated at the top of the cliff overlooking the cove, this hotel boasts some of the best sea views around.

3.   Explore the cave under the harbour wall at Mullion Cove. At low tide, it’s possible to walk through to the other side where you’ll find a secluded beach but you'll need a torch! This beach is featured in this old British Pathe film

4.   Go crabbing in the summer. Dangle your feet over the harbour wall and drop a line to catch succulent Cornish crab or join the night fisherman for Pollock or Bass.

Poldhu Beach

5.   Grab a pasty and explore the coastline to Poldhu beach.  Start off up by the Mullion Cove hotel and head towards Poldhu Hotel situated on the second headland to the North.  This area is famous because it’s the location of the Poldhu Wireless Station where Marconi transmitted the first ever transatlantic radio message in December 1901.
